Mural Paintings, Church of Ludrová, Ludrová

The medieval wall paintings inside the church are among Slovakia's most important Gothic works of their kind. The sanctuary walls show an extensive cycle of 34 scenes from the life of Jesus Christ. The interior paintings were restored when the church was repaired in the 1840s, and Jozef Hanula renovated them around the turn of the 20th century. During restoration in 1960–1970, Mikuláš Štalmach uncovered a triptych on the north wall of the nave dating from 1410–1420, older than the sanctuary paintings. Fragments of a painting of St. Christopher survive on the east facade. The main altar from 1510–1520 is in the Liptov Museum in Ružomberok.

Areál kostola je ohraničený obranným múrom so strieľňami a vstupnou bránkou s monogramami zemanov Petra a Mórica Rákovských.
